Effect of educational program regarding eye infection care on mothers' performance and their children outcomes

Background: Eye infections are one of the most common eye diseases in children and ophthalmic complaint seen emergency departments around world. Aim study was to determine effect educational program regarding infection care on mothers' performance their children’s outcomes. Subjects Method: A quasi-experimental research design used study. Subjects: convenience sampling 80 mothers with infection; forty from Out-patient clinic at ophthalmology Tanta city which affiliated Ministry health population 40 Outpatient pediatric units Zifta Ophthalmic Hospital Health population. Three Tools were for data collection: Tool (I): Mothers’ knowledge socio -demographic data. (II): Self-report mothers’ practices, (III): observational check list Results: main results revealed that there highly statistically significant differences between pretest post-test implementation.Conclusion: present findings had poor inadequate practices related its management. Recommendations: Classes programs about management prevention should be held all Hospitals El-gharbia governorate.
